Grounded in Reality: Data-Driven Product Planning in an Uncertain World

Kristiina Vikström, ABB & Pasi Ahola, Taipuva

Effective product planning in a volatile environment requires more than intuition. This session explores how systematic data collection and robust requirements management enable organizations to navigate uncertainty—whether entering new markets or restructuring supply chains. With a strong foundation in data and clear requirements, even complex changes like shifting subcontractors become more manageable.

Enabling the Digital Thread for Efficiency and Scalability together with agile manufacturing

Magnus Normann & Hanne-Lill Dregelid, Clevr

In times of uncertainty, agility and efficiency become competitive advantages. This session shows how enabling the Digital Thread with PLM empowers organizations to adapt quickly, scale seamlessly, and maintain quality under pressure. By connecting design, engineering, and manufacturing data in a single source of truth, companies can respond faster to market shifts, introduce innovations with confidence, and optimize resources. With proven expertise in Teamcenter, we’ll share how agile manufacturing and a connected digital backbone help businesses thrive, even when the future is unpredictable.

Simulation driven product development with Simcenter

Carl Wanngård, Senior Business Developer, Volupe

The simulation part in a digital thread connects design with verification/validation, partially replacing physical testing, giving product insights early in the design process, cutting development time and cost. Volupe will give a brief introduction to the Simcenter portfolio touching on the concepts of CAE-simulation, systems simulation, and optimization.

11:45 – 12:30
The fast track to innovation: simulation and testing combined to solve complexity.

Olgierd Zaleski, Novicos

The reliability of numerical analyses is crucial for the efficiency and success of technical development processes and for troubleshooting. The appropriate integration of tests can significantly increase the reliability of simulation results. The presentation uses case studies to show how this can be achieved in the development of mechatronic systems, in end-of-line testing or in the design of electronic components.
